  • EXR is a virtual rowing app that turns training into an immersive, game-like experience — you row through scenic worlds, unlock achievements, and see your avatar move with every stroke. We use it because it makes rowing fun and keeps everyone engaged. Blade Rowers is the only team that meets regularly on EXR to train together, and our Saturday sessions are all about showing up, rowing side-by-side, and enjoying a social, relaxed start to the weekend

  • If you don’t have access to the EXR app, you can still join in fully just complete the session by rowing the set distance on your own machine. You won’t miss out on anything. The Saturday row is about doing it together, however you’re connected, and everyone is part of the team whether they’re on EXR or not.

  • Your session arrives each morning. Clear instructions, smart structure, and no guesswork.
